The case of letters is significant in labels and symbol names. The case is also important to distinguish the suffix ‘<samp><span class="samp">b</span></samp>’ for a backward reference to a local label from the suffix ‘<samp><span class="samp">B</span></samp>’ for a number in binary notation. </body></html>
