<p><a name="index-HIDDEN-420"></a>For ELF targeted ports, define a symbol that will be hidden and won't be
exported. The syntax is <code>HIDDEN(</code><var>symbol</var><code> = </code><var>expression</var><code>)</code>.
<p>Here is the example from <a href="Simple-Assignments.html#Simple-Assignments">Simple Assignments</a>, rewritten to use
<code>HIDDEN</code>:
